Shea Theatricals is dedicated to fostering stories that authentically amplify the voices of traditionally ignored communities. Utilizing years of experience and a deep understanding of the climate of the entertainment industry, Shea Theatricals produces, co-produces and invests in compelling musicals, plays and films that are exciting additions to the current zeitgeist and that drive social change. Prioritizing radical producing models and championing artists who think out-of-the-box, Shea Theatricals aims to democratize the industry and challenge norms.

Jana Shea (she/her)

Founder, producer

          Jana Shea, cofounder of Seaview Productions and the streaming platform, Broadstream, is passionate about entertainment and, in particular, theatre that champions works that raise traditionally ignored voices. She is especially interested in projects that elevate women, people of color, all the world’s unique cultures, and the disabled.

          Her Broadway credits include Romeo + Juliet, Once Upon a Mattress, The Last Five Years, Good Night and Good Luck, Stereophonic, An Enemy of the People, Slave PlayPass OverHow to Dance in OhioPOTUS, What the Constitution Means to Me, and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder.  On London’s West End, she produced Gypsy, Show Boat, among others others. Off-Broadway productions include the record-breaking Sweeney Todd at the Barrow Street Theatre, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Hundred Days, Suffs.
          In the film space, she is a producer on the upcoming feature film "The Coldest Winter Ever" as well as the new Whitney Houston biopic, 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody". Other production credits include the upcoming film adaptation of "Our Dear Dead Drug Lord", the documentary "She Started It", about young women tech entrepreneurs and the Peabody Award-winning documentary "India’s Daughter".

          Jana is Vice-President of Legacy Theatre in Branford, Connecticut,  which is a premier professional repertory venue on the Connecticut shoreline. She also currently serves on the boards of Women Moving Millions and The New Group Off-Broadway nonprofit theater. Jana is co-owner of Borderlight Entertainment, a talent management company that serves Broadway artists by facilitating concert tours and producing their solo albums. She is also co-owner of Aware Recovery Care, an in-home addiction rehabilitation program located in 9 states that boasts a 60% success rate for clients after one year.

Jaime Bartolett (she/her)

Associate Producer

           Jaime Bartolett graduated as Valedictorian from Marymount Manhattan College where she received a BFA in Acting and a Minor in Business. In addition to her work at Shea Theatricals, she is producing a new musical called King of Pangea, written by Martin Storrow. She also works part-time as Associate Producer at Neil Gooding Productions.

          Jaime previously worked as an Associate Producer at Broadstream where she produced digital series including "Broadway en Spanglish",. "Songs by an Immigrant", "Authentically You; Celebrate Asian Joy" and "Trash to Treasures". She is co-owner of Snack Time Studios, a production company that brings to life digital content such as the webseries "Snack Time Studios" and the podcast, Mutha.

          Jaime is a member of the Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) of the New York Women's Foundation, which is an initiative created to engage and empower the next generation of thought leaders and philanthropists. She is also on the NAMT New Work Selection Committee.
